GP Rally II

We are pleased to announce the dates for this year's GP Rally.  They will be September 5 - 7, 2006.  That is Tuesday - Thursday immediately following Labor Day.  The location will again be Columbia City, Indiana.  Maps will be posted at a future date.

What to Expect- Arguably, the largest assemblage of GP's since and perhaps including the sales days of 1929.  While fuel prices are affecting many of our travel plans, it is still likely that we will top 125 tractors.  Use of the tractors is being encouraged.  Possibilities include a Baker fan, belt or PTO driven dyno, plow, disc, field cultivator and daily parade.  There are plans for demonstrations with a 3 row planter, 3 row cultivator, 2 row cultivator, 2 row lister planter, 2 row lister cultivator, 4 row lister planter, 4 row bean cultivator, 2 way mounted plow, and 22" threshing machine.

Arrival- Many people are planning on attending the Labor Day Weekend auction in New Paris, IN and have asked about bring their exhibits early.  That is not a problem.  They can be dropped off at the show grounds starting Tuesday, August 29, 2006.  If you need an earlier drop off time, please call and make arrangements.  You may come with an exhibit at ANY time during the show.  That means if you can only make 1 or 2 days and would like to exhibit you are certainly welcome.

Hotel Accomodations-  Special prices will be arranged for reservations at Super 8 (260-244-2655) and Executive Inn (formerly Lee's Inn- 260-244-5300.  Mention you are part of the GP Rally.  They will currently take your reservation now but are not giving the discount yet.

Camping- There is ample room for campers or tents.  There are no hookups for sewer, electricity or water.  However, filling a water tank or a temporary electric connection to charge a battery may be available as needed.

Equipment Loading and Unloading - A loader tractor will be available for loading or unloading implements, parts, etc.  There are also a gooseneck height and semi trailer height loading dock.
